PROJECT OVERVIEW

Retirement Property Glazing Solutions

Project Scope
This project involved designing and installing bespoke glazing for a self-built retirement property in Rickerscote, constructed using a prefabricated timber structure and slated for completion with zinc cladding. The client, a landscape garden designer, approached us following a recommendation from a previous client who admired our work. The brief required balancing ambitious design goals with practical considerations, ensuring the glazing complemented the property’s modern aesthetic while meeting structural and security demands.

Project Objectives & Innovations

  • Maximised Window Heights
Achieved the tallest possible window and door apertures to eliminate bulky overhead structures, preserving clean sightlines and natural light flow while ensuring robust structural performance and security.
  • Aesthetic Façade Design
Carefully proportioned and divided window and door apertures to enhance the building’s visual appeal, aligning with the client’s vision for a cohesive, modern façade that harmonises with the zinc cladding.
